REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION

Twenty-five (25) units of high school credit are required for graduation. The required units and subjects are:

English 4 units
       English I, English II, English III and IV.  Honors English courses may be substituted for English IV only.

Math 3 units 
       (Algebra 1 in 8th grade does not count as HS Math toward the 3 year requirement.)

Science 3 units
       (Psychology is included as a science for EHS only.)

Social Studies 3 units
        (1 year each of World History, US History, and Government)

Health Enhancement (PE) 2 units

Educational Technology (Computer) 1 unit

Vocational/Practical Arts (FCS, Vo-Tech, Business) 1.5 units


Fine Arts 1 unit
        (Any one credit from either Art, Band, or Choir.)

Life Skills 1 unit. (Senior year)

Electives 6.5 units
        (All courses not used to meet the requirements above count as electives.)

Community Service Requirement:  20 hours
     (Students must turn in verification of community service prior to graduation)
